$1.3 MILLION DOLLAR GREER RENOVATION ON VICTORIA STREET DRAWS URBAN PETALS EXPANSION AND OLIVE’S BRANCH AUCTION GALLERY
“GREER, S.C. – Randy Jones, owner of Mutt’s BBQ and investor in downtown Greer, has purchased the buildings at 103 and 105 Victoria Street in Greer Station as part of a $1.3 Million investment. The buildings are currently being remodeled and will soon open for an expansion of Urban Petals and opening of Olive’s Branch Auction Gallery.
Randy Jones, a long-time resident of Greer Station, stated, “The building in Greer was purchased based on my past experiences in Greer and having owned and operated a business in Greer for 23 years. I have great faith in the city’s continued growth, and I feel the city has a great administration that is both pro‑business and watches out for the needs of the community as a whole. I am glad to be part of the City of Greer’s growth of Victoria Street with two very strong businesses.”
Urban Petals moved to downtown Greer in 2017, and subsequently opened Urban Petals Lifestyle Boutique in 2018. Urban Petals is currently located at 101 Victoria Street next door to the new location. Urban Petals expects to open at 105 Victoria Street in early Fall 2021. This move will enable the business to increase its capacity and create a new design studio where classes will be offered. Urban Petals Lifestyle Boutique provides curated items for the home, gifts, plants, and fresh flowers. Urban Petals has provided floral design for events across the Southeast including South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia as well as New York.
Anna Stouffer, owner of Urban Petals, stated, “We quickly outgrew our location on Trade Street and are thrilled to move into 105 Victoria Street as soon as construction is completed. Urban Petals is proud to be a part of this amazing Community.”
Olive’s Branch Auction Gallery, expected to open in Fall 2021, will be the only auction house located in downtown Greer and will enable the transfer of sales of valued antiques, art, and collectibles.
Deb Mastny, owner of Olives’ Branch Auction Gallery, stated, “I believe live auctions are an opportunity for all participants to experience the energy of competitive bidding while creating an enjoyable event for everyone. My move to Greer 2 years ago was such a positive change for me, the Greer community has offered friendship and support from day one. My experience here in Greer has led to so many warm friendships. The Greer community support has encouraged me to follow my dream to become a business owner. I look forward to sharing my love for auctions and all that Olive's Branch can offer with my friends, neighbors, and like-minded business community.”
City of Greer Mayor Rick Danner commented, “We appreciate the efforts of Randy Jones to develop retail space on Victoria Street as part of the City’s vision. Today’s announcement about the upcoming expansion of Urban Petals and opening of Olive’s Branch Auction Gallery will further add to the vibrancy of our central business district. We congratulate Urban Petals on their continuing success and expansion and it is a pleasure to welcome Olive’s Branch Auction Gallery to the community.”
